Omei Academy provides a structured academic after-school environment where students receive guided academic support in a supervised setting.

Daily Program Structure
Our after-school program follows a predictable daily rhythm centered on a structured academic block, with optional athletic and artistic pathways available afterward.
All students follow the same time and day structure, creating consistency and routine across the program.
Arrival Window & Transition
Approximately 2:00–3:45 PM
Students arrive from school at staggered times.
Upon arrival, students:
check in with staff
complete homework, reading, or other quiet academic activities
have a snack
Because students arrive at different times, this portion of the afternoon is intentionally flexible while maintaining overall structure.
All students receive snack time and academic support regardless of arrival time within the arrival window.
Academic Block (Required)
3:50–5:30 PM
Includes a short supervised break.
English & Math
Individualized practice aligned to each student’s level. Students read instructions, work independently, and ask questions as needed. Teachers monitor progress and provide support as needed.
Chinese
Structured small-group instruction with direct teaching and guided practice aligned to proficiency level.
Athletic & Artistic Pathways (Optional)
5:30–7:00 PM
Students may continue into their selected structured skill-development track.

What schools do you pick up from?
Omei Academy provides school pickup from most Cupertino Union School District (CUSD) schools. At this time, pickup is not available from Murdock-Portal Elementary School due to its different school calendar. Please contact us to confirm pickup availability for your child's school.
What grades do you serve?
Our after-school program is designed for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through Grade 5.
Is homework support included?
Yes. Students have dedicated time for homework and academic practice in a structured environment. Staff members supervise students, encourage accountability, and help students develop strong study habits.
Do students need to attend every day?
Yes. Omei Academy is a five-day-per-week after-school program operating Monday through Friday. Regular attendance helps students develop consistent study habits and benefit from the structure and continuity of the program.
What skill development tracks are available?
Students may enroll in optional skill development tracks offered by Omei Academy, including Piano and Music Theory, Wushu, Taichi, and Visual Arts. These programs provide students with opportunities to develop specialized skills and pursue long-term growth in areas of individual interest.
What time does the program end?
Our regular after-school program operates until 6:30 PM.
How are students grouped?
Students are generally grouped by grade level. We also consider each student's instructional needs to help ensure appropriate academic support and a positive learning environment.
Do you provide snacks?
Yes. Omei Academy provides a light afternoon snack, such as Cheerios and crackers. Families may also send an additional snack from home if they wish.
How do you measure student progress?
Omei Academy uses classroom instruction, guided practice, and periodic assessments to monitor student development. Parents receive three academic evaluations each school year, providing feedback on progress in the subjects their child is enrolled in.
Can my child participate in multiple skill development tracks?
Yes. Depending on scheduling and availability, students may participate in multiple skill development tracks.
